At the end of 2018 a Hope Project team travelled to Cambodia. They spent a huge week serving with AIM, reconnecting with people we consider as family. 40 small-group workshops were delivered to leaders over 5 days, with topics including critical thinking, leadership, integrity and art. These leaders are so hungry to learn, wanting to grow. But it’s tiring for these front-liners. So it was a real privilege to engage with them in deep discussions, listen to ideas and hear their hearts. These are young leaders, serving in a challenging community with a desire to see people know freedom, faith, opportunity, education and empowerment. Humbling.
We ran 5 more large-group workshops entitled ‘Survivor Cambodia’ which challenged teams to work together on various tasks such as blind tent assembly, the great egg-drop survivor challenge, plane crash survivor scenario and more…super fun and quite challenging…but they did great!
And who could possibly forget Kids Club! Over 5 days we taught a large number of children from the community about the human body, culminating in demonstrating a mega intestinal tract that really poops! Hilarious!! But also educational.
Thank you to the team.. absolute legends! And thank you to everyone at AIM and Rahab’s House Church for trusting us to serve in this way. We love you, appreciate you all.
